I’m sittin’ at my desk, it’s another long day,
Turnin’ drafts to models, but things won’t go my way.
Sketch is too loose, then too tight to hold,
No solid’s forming, just a tale getting old.

Oh, the deadline’s near, the pressure’s high,
Fixing mistakes, watchin’ time fly.
I keep on pushin’, don’t lose track,
But the clock keeps tickin’, no turnin’ back.

Edges don’t meet, gaps are too wide,
The solid won’t close, though I really have tried.
The boss walks in, tappin’ his feet,
“Move those ribs, change that seat!”

Step by step, I stay real strong,
Though the list of changes just goes on and on.
Then comes the moment, I’m almost there,
But the license is locked—life ain’t fair.

A call, a fight, the software is free,
But CAD crashes out—oh, misery!
I stare at the screen, shake my head,
“Not my problem,” is all I said.

Oh, the deadline’s near, the pressure’s high,
Fixing mistakes, watchin’ time fly.
I keep on pushin’, don’t lose track,
But the clock keeps tickin’, no turnin’ back.

It’s 4:30 sharp, I grab my coat,
Vacation starts, that’s all she wrote.
The company will live, they’ll find a way,
I’m sippin’ my drink at a beach far away.

Oh, the deadline’s near, the pressure’s high,
Fixing mistakes, watchin’ time fly.
I keep on pushin’, don’t lose track,
But the clock keeps tickin’, no turnin’ back.
